What We Do

Building Future Familiesexists because of your expressed concerns and collective voices and as foster and adoptive parents. Our purpose is to: empower your voices to be heard, respected and valued while creating a growing knowledgeable movement of foster and adoptive parents:

BUILDING FUTURE FAMILIES' specific objective and purpose is to:

  1. Empower the voices of foster and adoptive parents to be heard, respected and valued while creating a growing knowledgeable movement of foster and adoptive parents.
  2. Convene foster and adoptive parents in activities which will provide opportunity for their voices to influence and impact the development of policies and laws concerning the welfare of children placed in foster care;
  3. Educate and engage foster and adoptive parents in the process to modify, change develop and oversee the implementation of local, regional, state and national laws concerning foster and adoptive parents;
  4. Create leaders in the industry of foster and adoption care while collaborating with other governing agencies in the creation of advancement/change on a local, regional state and national level.
  5. Provide counsel, act as an advocate and/or ombudsman to foster and adoptive parents who have expressed concerns, complaints and/or under investigation and charged with violations.

Our Story

Our Mission

BUILDING FUTURE FAMILIES (BFF) is a non-partisan non-profit organization, established in 2015, as a result of foster and adoptive parents expressed concerns that their voices are not being heard and respected in the process of ensuring the well-being of children placed in their home, care and protection.
BFF’s mission is to build a movement of advocacy, providing one voice to the concerns of foster and adoptive parents.
BUILDING FUTURE FAMILIES’ specific objective and purpose is to: (ECECP)
  • Empower the voices of foster and adoptive parents to be heard, respected and valued while creating a growing knowledgeable movement of foster and adoptive parents;
